For several years, we've collaborated with Urban Warriors, a nonprofit organization established in 2016 to broaden access to sports for children residing in disinvested neighborhoods. Their holistic approach goes beyond sports, aiming to develop youth by providing tangible opportunities for engagement and learning within their communities. As their design partner, we create various assets to support their mission of empowering youth and fostering community engagement.
Objective
The primary challenge in designing for Urban Warriors is understanding the dual audience: children participating in their programs and potential investors. While the branding maintains a sleek and modern look to appeal to investors, it's essential to infuse elements of fun and excitement when designing for the children. Striking the right balance between these two audiences while ensuring consistency in branding poses a creative challenge. Additionally, adapting the tone and style of design assets based on the intended audience requires careful consideration and empathy.
