"La Carnita Asada" is a podcast created by kids, for kids, as part of the Arts section of Urban Warriors' youth program. Launched to provide young people with creative outlets beyond sports, this program fosters self-expression and storytelling through the arts. The podcast offers a platform for youth to share their stories, perspectives, and talents with the wider community. Our collaboration involved designing a playful and engaging logo that captures the essence of the podcast, featuring a character eating the title "La Carnita Asada" to represent the informal and lively atmosphere of the interviews.

Objective

The primary challenge in designing the logo for "La Carnita Asada" was creating a design that could both fit into the Urban Warriors brand family and stand alone as its own distinct identity. Balancing the need for cohesion with Urban Warriors' branding while also ensuring that "La Carnita Asada" had its own unique identity required careful consideration and creative problem-solving. Additionally, capturing the playful and informal atmosphere of the podcast while maintaining professionalism posed a design challenge.

Our goal in designing the logo for "La Carnita Asada" was to create a visually engaging and playful design that appealed to younger audiences and reflected the spirit of the podcast. By incorporating elements that represented the informal and lively nature of the interviews, we aimed to encourage kids to engage with and enjoy the podcast content. Additionally, by ensuring that the logo could be easily applied to various merchandise, we aimed to empower kids to proudly represent the podcast they are producing while fostering a sense of ownership and pride in their creative endeavors.
